La selección uruguaya de hockey femenino universitario se quedó con el segundo puesto en los Juegos Universitarios Argentinos y a continuación repasamos la actuación del equipo.
La Liga Universitaria de Deportes dijo presente en la edición 2023 de los Juegos Universitarios Argentinos (JUAR) y el hockey estuvo representado por la selección femenina que tuvo a Marcelo Reineri como entrenador.
Las celestes debutaron el lunes 19 de junio con un empate sin goles frente a la Universidad de Buenos Aires y el martes tuvieron una triple actividad en el Parque Olímpico de la capital de Argentina.
En la segunda presentación, la Celeste universitaria venció al Instituto Universitario de la Policía Federal Argentina por 6 a 0 con goles de Macarena Meneses e Ivana Barrios en dos oportunidades cada una, Vanesa Saporta y Priscila Santana.
El tercer juego de Uruguay fue con empate sin goles ante el Instituto Superior de Educación Física N° 2 y en la última presentación, la selección universitaria goleó 4-0 a la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional con tantos de Antonella Rodríguez, Lola De la Fuente, Macarena Meneses e Ivana Barrios.
De esta manera y de forma invicta, la selección de hockey femenino de la Liga Universitaria de Deportes conquistó la medalla de plata en los JUAR con dos triunfos, dos empates y un saldo de 10 goles a favor y ninguno en contra.
