La Liga Universitaria de Deportes también tendrá este fin de semana el inicio del básquetbol y en esta nota te contamos todos los detalles.
El básquetbol de la Liga Universitaria de Deportes se pondrá en marcha este fin de semana y de cara a una nueva temporada son 22 los equipos que dirán presente con 12 en la Divisional “A” y 10 en la Divisional “B”.
DIVISIONAL “A”
Elbio Fernández, Auriblanco, Kennedy, Defensor Sporting, Club Universidad Católica, Rentistas, Náutico, Guichón, Urunday Universitario, Aston, J.M.L.M. y Biguá serán los equipos que participarán en esta categoría.
La temporada comenzará con el Clasificatorio que tendrá la disputa de dos ruedas todos contra todos con un total de 22 fechas y 132 partidos.
Playoffs
Luego se vendrá la segunda fase. Los ocho equipos mejor ubicados del Clasificatorio avanzarán a los playoffs desde cuartos de final, siendo todas las fases al mejor de tres partidos en todos los casos y donde el mejor ubicado siempre empezará la serie de local.
En caso de ser necesario un tercer encuentro éste se disputará en cancha del mejor ubicado.
Por otra parte, las finales se jugarán en canchas fijadas por la Liga Universitaria de Deportes y de acuerdo a la manera que ésta disponga.
Cabe recordar que en todos los casos la mesa de los partidos debe ser integrada por dos personas del equipo locatario y una del equipo visitante.
Permanencia
Los cuatro equipos ubicados en las últimas posiciones del Clasificatorio deberán jugar dos ruedas todos contra todos y una vez disputada la etapa de Permanencia, solo los dos equipos con mejor puntaje conservarán la categoría, mientras que los dos últimos descenderán a la Divisional “B”.
Para esta fase se arrastra la mitad del puntaje obtenido en la fase anterior (Clasificatorio).

DIVISIONAL “B”
Universidad de Montevideo, Bella Unión, Familiar, ISASA, Universidad ORT, Old Boys, Old Christians, Champagnat, Náutico y Colegio Inglés serán los equipos que pelearán por el ascenso en esta temporada 2023.
El campeonato comenzará con el Clasificatorio que tendrá dos ruedas en modalidad de todos contra todos y los siete mejores de esta tabla jugarán el Torneo de Honor de básquetbol de la próxima temporada.
Playoffs
Los ocho equipos mejor ubicados del Clasificatorio jugarán la fase de playoffs desde cuartos de final, que se disputara al mejor de tres partidos en todos los casos, semis al mejor de cinco juegos en todos los casos y la final a un solo encuentro.
La final se jugará en cancha fijada por la Liga Universitaria de Deportes y de acuerdo a la manera que ésta disponga.
Por otra parte, en todos los casos la mesa de los partidos debe ser integrada por dos personas del equipo locatario y una persona del equipo visitante.
Copa de Plata
Los cuatro equipos eliminados de cuartos de final más los dos equipos que no ingresaron a la fase de playoffs jugarán una rueda todos contra todos, donde el equipo que termine esta fase con mayor puntaje será el campeón de la Copa de Plata.
Para esta fase se comienza con puntaje cero y el campeón de la Copa de Plata se gana el derecho a participar del Torneo de Honor en la próxima temporada.

TORNEO DE HONOR 2023
Se jugará formato de playoffs a un único partido en todas las llaves entre los ocho mejores equipos de la Divisional “A” y los siete mejores equipos de la Divisional “B” más el campeón de la Copa de Plata.
Los días de disputa serán los martes 20:30 horas y 22:00 horas en el gimnasio de Waston. La fecha de inicio será la del martes 9 de mayo.
