El Torneo Universitario 2020 llegó a su fin con la consagración de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes como campeón tras vencer en la final a CUBA.
El futsal tuvo su regreso oficial luego del parate por la pandemia de coronavirus y lo hizo nada menos que con una final de lujo para definir el Torneo Universitario 2020 con Nuestra Señora de Lourdes y CUBA como protagonistas.
El encuentro que se jugó en el gimnasio de la Plaza de Deportes Nº 12 ubicado en Regimiento 9 y José María Penco iba a definir al nuevo monarca del certamen que había quedado trunco y que había tenido su primer encuentro definitorio el miércoles 18 de noviembre de 2020.
El tiempo pasó, la pandemia cedió y en la noche del lunes volvió el futsal universitario con un partido que pintaba para partidazo. Y lo fue.
En medio de la necesidad de salir a ganar, CUBA consiguió ponerse en ventaja, pero con el paso de los minutos, Lourdes mejoró y pasó al frente 3 a 1 para luego irse al descanso con un marcador favorable de 4-3.
El complemento tuvo a Lourdes como amplio dominador porque a pesar de las ganas y el esfuerzo, CUBA no logró anotar más allá de que tuvo varias chances como para poder hacerlo. Le faltó efectividad en el ataque.
Lourdes por su parte, empezó a liquidar el trámite con esa cuota de efectividad que no tenía su rival y de a poco se fue asomando al título: terminó ganando por 8 a 3 para cerrar una nueva temporada de futsal con el trofeo del Torneo Universitario en su vitrina.
Ignacio Oper fue la gran figura de la final anotando cuatro goles y llevándose premios de Mi Dinero, Umbro, BHG y LavameApp.
Por su parte, el golero de Lourdes, Juan Luketich se llevó los guantes de Rinat, y Mathías Veneroso se llevó el premio BHG, mientras que para ambos equipos hubo regalos de Summum y Gatorade.
Desde la Liga Universitaria de Deportes felicitamos a Nuestra Señora de Lourdes por la obtención de un nuevo título y les agradecemos a todos los equipos que fueron parte de esta temporada.
