Las “scuolas” ganaron el Torneo Apertura con puntaje perfecto ya que sumaron 21 puntos en siete encuentros disputados terminando el certamen invictas y en lo más alto.
En el Clausura, se quedaron con la Copa de Oro luego de derrotar en la serie final a Huracán Buceo en el primer juego por 28 a 25 y en el segundo en cifras de 25 a 19, ambos encuentros disputados en el gimnasio del Colegio Saint Brendans.
De esta manera, Scuola Italiana volvió a tener una temporada espectacular en la Liga Universitaria de Deportes quedándose con el Torneo Universiario por tercer año de manera consecutiva tras las conquistas de 2017 y 2018.
